Energy
Both the Republicans and the Democrats wrap the energy issue in their own special interest rhetoric and allow for far too many distortions in the market place. Meanwhile we have no unified energy policy moving us forward.

Considering how energy is essential to any nation, and crucial to one as prosperous as ours, I believe government's role in the energy market should be minimal, but not obsolete. We must get past the distortions and heated rhetoric and move forward with a plan that is sustainable, produces American jobs, reduces the price of energy for Americans and recognizes long term trends so we can compete in future markets. I believe in a balanced approach that puts America and Americans first; not party, ideology, or any special interest groups.
